A Huge Shout Out To All Our Generous Friends!
This is a quick monthly catch up with Bear, Meg Bear and
the Curiosity Cupboard Collection Bears!
So far, February has given me a chance to catch up with outstanding Exceptional Bears admin and for Bear and Meg Bear to sort out the Curiosity Cupboard Collection paperwork.
Recently we reached out to Ellie Targett, the inspiring lady that started the incredible Teddy Trust charity who we have been working with for the past few months.
We asked if we could put their logo on our website and got a lovely reply back from her saying that they are updating their logo, but to go ahead and put up the original one and they would forward the new logo as soon as possible for us!
Then we received this at Exceptional Bears HQ unexpectedly last week!
Although, I think it should really be for all of our kind friends who adopted Curiosity Cupboard Collection bears ?
From… “The Teddy Trust ~ to sueandbear
Hi dear Sue,
Just to say another huge thank you for the lovely teddies you’re sending us and for the certificate which we will put up in our premises!
Thank you and warmest wishes from Ellie and the TT team!!”
Then unusually, we managed time to schedule a ‘staff meeting this week… or rather found an excuse to sit down for ten minutes with coffee and cookies!
Bear, Meg Bear and I were chatting about Bear’s Birthday Wish to continue his upside-down Kindness Advent calendar into January, then extend it to a ‘Kindness Year’ during 2020.
We were talking about the kindness of people buying the Curiosity Cupboard bears and how that allows us to donate bears in the name of their adopted bear to a child in dire straits through The Teddy Trust.
How important it is to have your own special bear to hug and the importance of a sense of security and having someone to trust, like your very own teddy ?
So we have decided to nominate The Teddy Trust
as Exceptional Bears charity for 2020.
Since July last year Exceptional Bears have made a monthly donation from the adoption fee of every ‘graduate’ from the Curiosity Cupboard Collection and used it to send a bear/soft toy to the Teddy Trust in their name…

So from all at Exceptional Bears…
We would like to shout out a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to all our generous friends who have adopted our adorable Curiosity Cupboard Collection ‘graduate’ bears.
We hope you have many lovable hugs with your new bear and you can be happy knowing that somewhere in the world a lonely child now has a cuddly companion due to your support and compassion ?
We also hope that you will continue to adopt our Curiosity Cupboard Collection bears to allow Exceptional Bears to support Ellie Targett and The Teddy Trust with her exceptional work for children who will always need a Bear Hug!
Have a great week and let me and Bear know if you and your bears have any thoughts on this post or have had any unusual adventures!
