A Mystery Bear In The Curiosity Cupboard!

Bear and I need your help!

At last, Bear and I have had time to concentrate on the vacancies we have for more bears in the Curiosity Cupboard.

Since the beginning of the year we have been very busy helping with the ‘adoptions and moving out’ of bears in the Exceptional Bears Shop.

Curiosity Bears On A RockBut, during the past couple of months we have had a whole new group of miscellaneous bears arriving in ones and twos.

Many of them do not know their names as they have no cardboard name tags.

This often presents quite a challenge to myself and Bear, although we can normally reassure them and let them know the name they were ‘born’ with, from their original makers!

Most of these new arrivals have settled in, happily mixing with the original group who live in the Cupboard.

A couple are quite shy and Charlie Bear Mischief certainly doesn’t like having his photo taken…

Curiosity; Shy Mischief

About a week ago we had a very shy, sad little bear join us. This little bear didn’t mix with anyone and sat quietly in a corner not looking at anyone. Such a bedraggled little thing, who looked in dire need of love and cuddles.

Most of the others tried gently to coax our new arrival into joining activities or just to smile, but nothing would work.Curiosity; Small Scruffy Bear

One day we noticed that the little bear had moved to sit next to one of the bear bookends on the shelf. This seemed to be reassuring, being near a bear that made no demands.

Little Bear started to watch activities going on around. Then when one of the other bears left a small jewelled box on the shelf in front of the bookend, we noticed the next morning the small box was firmly in place between Little Bear’s feet!

Curiosity; Scruffy Bear 2Gradually, our sad, little arrival began to feel more comfortable when Bear and the others sat on the same shelf and talked amongst themselves.

Then a couple of days ago Little Bear joined in a ‘wash and brush up’ session with one of the bears that also sat on the shelf!

We then discovered that we certainly had a real gem in that sad, little bear, now everyone wants to be friends…

But we still don’t know ‘Little Bear’s’ name!

Curiosity; Little Bear Happy

So, if anyone could let us know who this little Charlie Bear is,

we would all be very grateful!

Huge Thanks!

Have a great week and let me and Bear know if you and your bears have any unusual adventures!
