In our little corner of the world, the sweltering summer we have been enjoying is gently giving way to cooler days with beautiful colours on the leaves and berries of the trees around our house, with mist and rain back again.

Autumn /Fall is moving in fairly quickly, t-shirts, shorts and flipflops have rapidly given way to coats, jeans and boots. Time to start working indoors and thinking about setting up our Exceptional Bears newsletter. The next exciting project for me and bear!

I think Bear was looking for inspiration this morning, whilst I was pounding the keyboard trying to catch up with some admin tasks I had left ‘til later’!

Working my way through coffee no. 2 and wondering whether I could procrastinate on the rest of the paperwork, I discovered that we had some bears to send to new homes on the other side of the world ?

I always love sending bears to new homes in different parts of the world.

I wish that they could send postcards back to let us know exactly where they start their new lives, but we do have a map and plot where our bears have moved to live!

Today one of Bear’s best friends, Charlie Bear Gus will be travelling to his new home in Australia. Gus is a cheerful, big bear who always has an open mouth and is always either chattering or giggling! He is certainly a bear who will enjoy his journey and make many new friends in his new home.

Bear and I will miss him but we are happy for his new family to have such a handsome, happy chap move in! We will pack him off with good wishes and a big smile.

Another bear off on his travels today is Daddy Diesel. He really is a stalwart fellow and will need a very large, sturdy travelling receptacle to relax in, all the way the USA! He will also need big hugs before he moves out… or is that just me and bear who need those hugs from him!

Bear and I have spent most of the day packing up bears securely, ordering collection from delivery companies and catching up with the paperwork involved.

Sometimes I’d rather be doing nothing, but I can’t think of anything that I would rather be doing than ‘playing’ with bears all day!

I guess I’m still a pre-school teacher at heart ?
