As we have very few mother bears in the Exceptional Bear’s HUG, many of the smaller and younger bears tend to find bigger or older bears to identify as role models.

Newcomer Charlie Bear L’amour, was feeling lonely and lost until two of our regular bears Anias and Artio decided ‘adopt’ her as their ‘Special Auntie’!

They have taken her under their ‘wings’ and shown her all their treasures, traipsed her all around Exceptional Bears headquarters and helped her to settle in with many laughs and much fun.

But, I noticed that the fun had slowed down a couple of days ago when they heard that it was Mother’s Day here in the UK this weekend.

I found Anias sitting quietly, wondering how the last two coins in the money box could get a present that would be amazing enough for their beloved ‘Auntie-Amour’.

Luckily, Artio had managed to save two coins as well.

So, after much haggling with several of the other bears, these two little scamps managed to swop their 4 coins for a little pot of honey and a little book about Happiness!

Such an ideal present for a beautifully, huggable bear like their ‘Auntie L’amour’ ?

Although, after all that ‘wheeling and dealing’, neither Anias nor Artio could manage to keep their presents a surprise until Mother’s Day.

So, Bear and I had to keep Auntie L’amour occupied while they wrapped up their presents.

Then, they presented their special early ‘Mother’s Day’ presents to their Auntie at a little tea party.

After tea and much ‘ooh-ing’, ‘ahh-ing’ and lots of HUGS for everyone who was around, they all wandered off with big smiles on their faces (as well as a fair amount of honey!)

So, here at Exceptional Bears we are ahead of the crowd, after having Mother’s Day fun and games earlier than everyone else who will be celebrating this weekend!
