Exceptional Bears Easter Egg Hunt!

Bear looking out windowAfter restlessly sitting around gazing out of the window, Bear came bursting into the office for the fifth time in a morning, asking AGAIN…

“Is it ready yet…  is it ready? We can’t wait any longer!”

So, I repeated what I had told him and his friends the last four times they had asked me that question.

That they would have to go somewhere else and stop bothering me, because Easter eggs don’t hide themselves!

Eventually, he and his friends wandered off to amuse themselves and I set to working out places to conceal teddy bear-sized, brightly wrapped, chunks of chocolate.

After a motivating coffee and cookie, I managed to complete a bear-size treasure hunt, with treasures to collect – ending in a nest of chocolate ‘treasure’.

All sorted without being detected!

Bear and Gulliver hunt eggsJust after I finished, Bear arrived back with his small group of Treasure Hunters!

He had managed to round up his best friend Meg Bear, along with Charlie Bears Poem and Gulliver, who is an always an adventurous sort!

When I handed them the first clue for their outdoor excitement, I explained that as they found each clue and an small chocolate egg, it would take them closer to the treasure.

So off they went…

  1. Enter through the garden g—?
  2. Into the great outdoors find the time by the sun d—?
  3. Pick which flowers to make a d—- chain!
  4. Where would you find apple blossom?
  5. Then a few more clues….
  6. Under the rock the Easter Bunny sits guard!

Meg Bear and Poem Daisy ChainsThey marched off heading in completely the wrong direction and for the next half an hour I could hear alternately raised voices as some discussion got heated, then gales of laughter as something ‘tickled their fancy’!

I peeped out of the window and could see Meg Bear and Poem sitting under the daffodils busy making daisy chains and giggling, but certainly not giving much help in searching for treasure.Bear and Gulliver find eggs

It was very quiet for a while and then a sudden yell of delight signalled that they had managed to find the nest of bear-size mini chocolate treasures under the rock where I had hidden them!

So much fun was had on that sunny afternoon in the garden, followed by a picnic and game of ‘Snap’, along with their chocolate eggs.

Eventually, everyone trooped back indoors tired, but smiling.
