As with many things in life, the best laid plans tend to come unstuck when ‘life gets in the way’.

Cliffe and I, along with Bear and his friends had spent a lot of time developing a well thought out Christmas timetable.

Everyone had understood and agreed their roles in ensuring that Christmas would run smoothly from beginning to end.

Why did I expect this perfect timetable would work in the ‘real’ world?  ?

So… after having had to take an unexpected few weeks off at the beginning of December, we only ended up with about 5 days to make Christmas happen!

It was decided that the Christmas Party was such an important event in our calendar that this must go ahead and that Boxing Day would be the best time to hold our festive revelries!

Santa agreed to ‘pop in’ on his day off… and our BEARY Merry Christmas party got under way

After a quick ‘Santa with Reindeers’ photoshoot…

We worked our way through a few games of Musical Chairs, Pass the Parcel and Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

Although, Desmond and Doris did not look amused!

Jack Dusty and Oakley won the Pass the Parcel games and then everyone helped themselves to a buffet tea.

There was much merriment over the cracker jokes.

Then little Christmas Stocking bear lost his guess for the quiz question about how old Bear was… and for his forfeit he had to go and sit on top of the Christmas Tree for 5 minutes!

Finally, it was time to say ‘goodbye’ to Santa, everyone collected their presents and prizes and made their way off to bed with huge smiles and bearhugs.

The end of another wonderful Exceptional Bears Christmas.
